Hello,
The 1280 and the 1290 are basically the same printer the main difference
being, that the 1280 is sold in110 V countries and the 1290 in 230 V
countries. There are also some slight differences in the printer software
which you have to pay attention to if you are using the Piezo driver (you
simply have to choose the adequte Piezo plug-in). The 1270 is the
predecessor of the 1280/1290.

printer. The 1280, however, seems to be the best supported by MIS. From my
perusal of the Epson site, however, it appears to have been replaced by the
1290.

giving me his old 1200), all the inks are available in bulk anyway, so I am
curious as to why the 1280 is the one always quoted.

of choice, or is there some other factor I've overlooked?
