Brad, You could start by reading the information you can find on the MIS site, http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/quadtone.html and the Piezography site, http://www.piezography.com/piezographyBW.html. They are the main suppliers with two different BW setups. The 1290 and 1280 are basically the same printer, the main difference being the voltage. Martin Glader PS. With careful choice of equipment and technique you can achieve better print quality with digital quadtone printing than in the darkroom. At least that applies to myself. :) You wrote: I am a bit ignorant and new to the digital world. I have a 1280 but it\ufffds called 1290 out here in Asia where I live. Cannot seem to get the photos looking right. You say that it is the printer of choice for B&W. Is this correct? Also, what ink set do you suggest and where can I buy it? What papers should I buy? What is Piezography setup? Are the prints going to look as good as the traditional dark room print? Any help or suggestion you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.......Brad Mol.
