After reading posts on how this paper was supposed to mimic the look and feel of traditional Fiber prints I was surprised to see that the paper is actually more glossy than I had expected. Air dried FB darkroom prints have a dull gloss to them. This paper has a higher gloss.. closer to the gloss that you get with RC print." I agree. I bought the paper from B+H on Tuesday and was disappointed to find that the paper does not at all resemble a FB darkroom paper -- it has perhaps a higher gloss than papers like Ilford Galerie Smooth Gloss. The paper, in the 8.5x11 size, is quite stiff, without the suppleness I associate with a good FB darkroom paper. That might be a function of size, but I am not going to buy a 13x19 box to find out. I've printed several images on it using a 2200, Epson inks and QTR, and they are good enough if you want a highgloss finish -- no problems handling the pigment inks. But I haven't seen anything with this paper that would lead me to start using it. Sanders McNew www.mcnew.net [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
