I will resist this upgrade at all costs. We need to send Adobe a strong
message that software-activation is not acceptable. We should not allow
another Microsoft to rear its ugly head in the graphics software industry.

As distasteful as it is in itself, a hardware dongle would be preferable, as
it is not dependant on Adobe's servers to function. Suppose in some future
date, you suffer a hard drive failure or you buy a new system - & suppose
Adobe's servers are down, or Adobe no longer supports activation on that
version, or Adobe is out of business? You then cannot  install & run your
software.

Also be aware & beware Adobe's invitation to upgrade to the full CS suite.
You will be giving up your license to the stand-alone application & will be
forced to upgrade the entire suite in the future, at its bloated price.
