After fussing around with the printer for days, I finally took it to an authorized repair shop and had it professionally cleaned and had a new printhead ($300) installed. I've only used the MIS original quadtones and compared my prints to those of a friend using the 3000 with the Cone inks and driver. Mine are better. Her grays have a muddy look and the black is not as dense. Try a professional cleaning and let me know. There don't seem to be too many people using the E3000 and I'd like to communicate with those who do. Good Luck. Arlene Love ArleneLoveL@... [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
