See the following site. I would strongly recommend these profiles over the Epson ones for the papers profiled. http://lenscraft.com/profiles/ For B&W, if you are on a Mac you should explore QTR.... http://harrington.com/QuadToneRIP.html You will probably be dramatically surprised by the increase in B&W capability. In fact I've been having better luck with B/W than with color. I've been able to get some rather nice prints out of the 2200 with little tweaking of parameters. And I have been using the color mixer in PS7 to adjust the tonality of the print. It's still not silver but I am very satisfied with the results using UC inks. I've been doing some comparisons with samples from a company that prints using Cone Selenium and Sundance inks. I wish I had their sample image so I could see if I can match tonality, contrast, shadow and highlight detail one to one. Because I have different images the best I can do is make visual comparisons of similar areas in each image. I am simply blown away by the Epson 2200. Of course I have never used the other Epson printers with B/W inksets so I have no comparison other than the samples from a service bureau. I do have a question though. Obviously Epson includes profiles for their papers as a means to lock in that market. I want to use the Hanahmuele (did I spell that right?) Torchon 285 paper. Any tips for profiling this paper and other papers? Thanks ... I am happy to be printing B/W in daylight ... Yahoo!
