Well, I've installed Redhat 9, got QTR installed and working, and produced a reasonable set of curves for a first attempt. So far so good! If qtcups is the best way of printing, I'll give up and go back to paul Roark's curves, even if they aren't perfect for the papers I am using. I can't predict how qtcups will print something, despite double checking every setting before starting to print. At the moment it refuses to print a portrait image on A4 despite it being the right size, set centred, borders to default ... It prints it landscape across two pages, split in the middle. I think it ignores what you set in the interface for orientation, and uses whatever is set as the default, but i'm too fed up with it to test any further today. Is there an application to print that actually works? thanks for any advice! mike http://www.efikim.co.uk
