Subject: [Digital BW] Preferences and Flatbeds

First off, you folks have a wondeful site here. I have tried
changing my prefrences back to 'no email' but still get individual
  messages, any thoughts on this?
Lastly, I am searching for a christamas present for my self and
am thinking new flatbed scanner or comprable priced film
scanner. I am currently using an old Microtec X6.
I am looking to archive years and years of negatives
and also be able take partion aspects of negatives and blow up
to reasonable prints 5x7 or 8x10. I am looking to stay in the
  $400-$500 range.
Thanks in advance. Please feel free to email
me off list if you want. Rocco
