Re: [Digital BW] World is not just Black & White: was: War

2001-10-08 by Steadman Uhlich

That $100 million would have bought a big number of school books in the US or funded more low income housing projects in the US or any number of other humanitarian/social projects. Despite that, the US has a role to play in the world community...so money goes elsewhere...and rightly so in my opinion.

The bombs too (in this case) are going "rightly so" in my opinion.

Now what does that have to do with digitalbw? Hmm....the world is not just black and white...

the US cannot just turn its back on the world and the starving any more than the US can turn its back on the perpetrators of international terrorism...to each his due.

Thanks for posting Tina. Interesting facts.

"As we strike military targets, we will also drop food, medicine and
supplies to the starving and suffering men, women and children of
Afghanistan," Bush said. "The United States of America is a friend to the
  Afghan people." George Bush, today.
