It is, but many kinds of black and white photos can be 
produced only
with black and white capture of the original scene.>>

Would you be kind enough to itemize these "many" kinds of B/W photos that can only be captured on "real" B&W film?  Since we live in a color world, then using a B/W film is a conversion to false color since white is the presence of all color, and black is the absence thereof.
