Everone should practice what works best for him or her. In the end its what counts is whether there are some truly good or even great shots, or not. Those are the "legend stories" for the photo teaching classes and the handbooks of b&w photography. But who really knows what photographer shot how many rolls in his life - and I dont care either. H. Cartier- Bresson once said: "Your first ten thousand shots will be your worst". So he probably was shooting quite a lot. Does this make him a less excellent photographer? regards Bernie
