Digital BW, The Print

really frustrated here . anyone help me move the ink carriage ?   
can't install inks because ink lid can't open because it is too far 
to the right. I guess I have a lemon right out of the box. once on, 
the power switch won't turn off without pulling the plug. will have 
to call in AM for technical support unless  someone has a quick fix. 
Any ideas?
