I'm currently using the MIS UT inks in my 2200. I did a nozzle check today and I was getting gaps in the far right pattern. I made the mistake of thinking that was the yellow position ink, so I took the yellow ink out and put it back in. Then, the pattern was fine except the ACTUAL yellow ink position (which was perfect before removing the yellow position cartridge... (I'm not sure why that cleared up the far right pattern (light black) because I had done a few cleaning cycles and was still getting clogs in the far right pattern before taking out the yellow ink) Anyway, now, as I said, the yellow ink position is not printing ANYTHING! I did a few cleanings and still nothing. I printed an image in OPM with a profile that only prints the yellow ink position and the page was bare. After printing with this profile a couple times I eventually got a couple lines to come out. So, I took out the UT yellow position ink and put in an Epson OEM yellow ink. No problems. Prints the image fine using only the yellow ink and prints the test pattern fine. So, I put the UT yellow position ink back in... still nothing! What can I do to fix this. When you say a "clogged head" are we talking about a printing head, separate from the cartridge... or is it the head of the cartridge? Either way... I put in a new UT yellow position cartridge and still no luck. Just to make sure, I put the Epson Yellow back in and redid the prints, all was fine. Then, back to the UT, and nothing again. Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff ---------------------------------------------------- Jeff Singer Photography jeff@... http://www.jeffsingerphotography.com
