Hi Folks/ Paul I have been happily using my VMs in the Epson 1290 for some time and over the last few months switched to the UTs. I have not found the 1290 curves as good for the UTs as they were obviously intended for the VMs. I have played with the 1280 curves, Tlyers curves and blends thereof but cannot get it as good as it 'was'. I love the tone of the inkset though and really don't want to go back to VMs. Therefore the question. I know Paul has no plans to re-write the curves for us Europeans, but I remember reading somewhere that if I used the 1280 driver on the 1290 printer, it should work much better with the actual 1280 curves. Is this correct? If so. Can I run a 1290 with a 1290 driver (my colour printer) alongside a 1290 with a 1280 driver (for UTs). I am using XP if that makes any difference. I have two PCs so I could theoretically run one on each and share them I suppose.... Secondly, has anyone changed drivers in this way? Where would I get the 1280 driver and how to overwrite the 1290 version? Your help is much appreciated, I can't help feeling I am in the final stages of getting everything sorted now! Steve
