OT - however, I wanted to make an inquiry with the learned and experience group out there - to be carried off-list. I have been revisiting the history of philosophy in greater detail. What a great pleasure it has been. By coincidence I came across a recommendation for "Flatland" by A. Square (by Edwin A Abbott). Any reader who has already read it will recognize it. I would ask that a reader who has read it and is familiar with the history of philosophy allow me to share a couple of naive thoughts on the subject, and respond in a few emails - off list. The purpose is to verify the experience with another. My observation of the book is not that it is an attempt at teaching mathematics, but a critique of linear rational thought, i.e. a philosophical proposal. Thanks for the consideration from someone new to Space ;-) I'd also take suggestions of a list where this sort of thing would be more appropriately discussed.
