Digital BW, The Print

I went to make prints on my 1280 with new cartridges just installed, got one
so-so print and then it only gave me blue pictures.

I used Paul's curves from about a year ago for the 1280, then flowed the
picture into a Quark document so that I could add copy and make cards.

I use a G3, OS 9.2. PS7.

Any guesses what setting I am forgetting to set to make BW prints with quad
MIS inks in my 1280? When I tried to make cards a couple weeks ago I got
pictures that were missing deep black. All other tones were present. It was
weird. I think some of the ink isn't printing, and now only the blue.

I also get the power light blinking at times. When I tried to change inks
with yellow button, nothing happened. I checked menu for inks and found they
were full. That should be right, because I just installed new inks a week
ago and made like 4 cards.

Any help would be appreciated.
