Ed - You might want to check the archives for my posts regarding Septone. To sum
up... I haven't done archival testing, but have printed on a variety of papers
and found the color consistency (very little if any variation through the tonal
scale) and maxD to be excellent. The interface looks simple, but is in fact a
bit like landing a single engine Cessna on an aircraft carrier during a
hurricane. In other words, the sliders do more than their titles indicate, and
it takes some experience before you grease your landings... but it's worth the
practice time.

But what's up with the Septone system printing and quality?  I ordered
the sample too, and it was very nice.  And there was excitement here at
first, and then reports of problems.  Where does it stand now?
