Thanks to all who replied to my question. I'm considering upgrading my 1160
to Cone's new ICC system--the price is right if you're a former Piezo
user--and, based on a Piezo print of John Custodio's that I recently
discovered I had and forgot about which was printed on PR 308, I really like
the "feel" (tactile) of this paper.

Sam - Don't put those 1160's out to pasture, yet...I know there have been
minor issues with this printer--after all it was never intended as a "pro"
product--but, for me, it has been a real workhorse over the years. I've had
mine for nearly 4 years, now, and it still produces beautiful quadtone
prints!

Neither of my 1160s has ever had a paper-feed problem at any weight,
not even when I forget the backer board. I've even had one of them
feed and print _on_ a backer board as heavy as 364 lb (a Crane
sample) when I under-counted the stock on which I was printing. What
would account for this I don't know except that I've never used a
paper coated with anything which would make the rollers slick.
Probably I should replace my 1160s, but I haven't used them much and
hate to let them go.
