Digital BW, The Print

Hi

I'm just getting back into photography after many years break. I used 
to print my own B&W prints in a darkroom but would like to have a go 
doing it digitally using Photoshop and an inkjet printer initially.

I have an ageing Epson Photo EX but not sure if there are any Win XP 
drivers available. Also has anyone tried the Lyson cartridges for 
this printer, I quite fancy having a bash with the warm toned ones.

I know this is a very general post but any other suggestions for 
INEXPENSIVE mono inkjet printing (even a4 at min)
