Re: [Digital BW] Re: windex on paper towel, when do i know i'm clean?

yeah, it looks that way to me too. While I was cleaning out the parking
pad the first time around I was shocked at how much ink was in there,
even though I've done only a couple head cleanings since I received the
printer a little over a month ago.

I don't have a CIS though, just MIS cartridges.

i'm thinking that the head may have become damaged a few weeks ago,
while I was printing out a bunch of 13 x 19's. While I was away from my
desk, the printer sucked in 5 sheets of Heavyweight Matte and by the
time I realized what was happening, the print was already half-way done.
I think the head may have come in contact with the paper and either
gunked things up real badly, or tweaked a piece of metal or plastic (or
whatever is in those heads).

In any case, the fact that I cleaned everything out of there once and
now the problem is back again leads me to believe the head is damaged.
I'm bringing it in for repair tomorrow.

thanks,

m
