I would have said the C82 with MIS's "Easy B&W" was the cheapest/easiest answer, but Bob's idea of a refurbished 890 (1280-compatible) printer for $140 is probably better. Among other things, it opens up the UT2 system as an option gives you a lot more power and flexibility than the C82. That makes for a nice entry level option. My information sheet on the inkset is at http://home1.gte.net/res0a2zt/UT2-Info.htm . It's a bit dense and getting longer due to the glossy papers I'm trying, but it's actually a very easy inkset to use. The Ultra Tone 2 (UT2) inks are sold by MIS (www.inksupply.com). This is the narrow carriage version of the infamous 1280. Use free 1280 workflows & curves from MIS or this site, and MIS inks. www.inksupply.com Or, Black Only using any black ink, see http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm . Sorry, I've never used Lyson inks.
