They work great. They are very high quality. You might improve on them marginally by doing your own custom profile with the cuurent batch of paper and ink you have. But, as soon as you changed to another box of paper or new ink cartridges, you'd have to calibrate again. There are scenarios where that much precision is required. For 99% of us, the IP profiles are all you need for neutral B&W prints and great color prints, too.
