It shows up from the different angles the CMYK colors are printed. Moire is what happens when, say, the pattern of a digital back (mainly one-shot) "coincides" with the pattern of fabric, or any repeated tiny lines or dots - like a fence, for instance. It can be avoided if you increase or decrease - up to a certain extent - the resolution of the scan or the distance from the subject.
