One would be if you are using the Photo Black ink cartridge instead of the Matte Black. Also, what workflow were you using previously with the epson driver? If it was black only, then yes contrast would have be higher with BO. Additionally, for printing with QTR your gray workspace and file should be at gamma 2.2 for both viewing/printing. > > 2. Do not use print driver resolution settings other than 1440x720 Highest quality, the driver and profiles are tuned for that setting only. > > Any solutions? I appreciate any advice you can give. Try using a curve adjustment layer to get the level of contrast you want to see in the print and if you want to preview the print results a soft-proof profile can be applied while making the adjustments (see links below) or just do it by trial and error until you get a curve adjustment that gives the print results you want. > > -mark Download the read-me and QTR 2200 soft-proof profiles in the QTR Soft-proof folder at: http://homepage.mac.com/scho/FileSharing2.html and download the necessary files and instructions for making your own soft-proof profiles at: http://harrington.com/SoftProofing.sit Carl Schofield [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
