Me too!  I have a few ideas to add to this thread.

Google "gray balancer".  Read through the first few pages of hits.  
It took me several evenings to cover the excellent info on the web 
pages and to read the gray balancer manual.  

I am still working on my gray balancer calibration, and it has been 
time consuming.  Even with that said, it's already a world of 
improvement over the color cast of "out of the box" prints.
