You can do what I am thinking about doing which is to purchase a CFS for the 2100/2200 - see below: http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/cfs_2200_new.html (product code CFS-2200-UC) BUT with Eboni ink in the black slot instead of MIS' Universal Black. BUT there are a couple of other BUTs: 1. BO on Resin Coated papers with Eboni require spraying else they will smear 2. I am not sure whether colour prints with Eboni as the black on RC papers will hold after spraying. I suspect they will but have not had this confirmed. (Eboni was intended for matt papers but people have found that Eboni works well on RC papers if then sprayed with something like Printshield.) Else you can use Epson UCs and simply swap the Eboni cartridge for the UC PK when you want to do BO. The permutations are broad. Remember though that if you change an ink and are using a colour managed workflow (eg you print colour with the Epson UCs but with Eboni in the black slot) then you will need to profile the ink/media combinations you use. > From: julie stapen <jsstapen@...> > Reply-To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Date: Fri, 6 Feb 2004 13:38:29 -0800 (PST) > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > Subject: RE: [Digital BW] Epson 2200- need to print black and white.. > > beautiful image!
