Laserjet?

2004-02-07 by Hans Edvardsson

I'm a little curious of the results of a 1200 dpi laserjet for printing B&W
copies. This would be from grainy negatives (e.g. tri-x). With 1200 dpi and
100lpi, you would get 144 tones of gray. The question is - would this be a
fair representation of a tri-x negative in terms of resolution and tone
separation?
I assume that you'd need to print at least A4:s to A3:s to get a grain big
enough to go fine with the lpi.
Has anyone tried?

Hans
