The directory files are TXT that can be read and changed in any word processor. When I fill a CD I make a txt directory that is key-word searchable. For example you zero in with part of a file name or a date. You can annotate the files in a word processor any way you want. I use Advanced Directory Printer for Windows available at share-ware sites. The bottom line is the data is safe and doesn't need a special program to access it. AZ
