Hi, I seemed to be going through ink very fast ... and needing to do a lot of cleaning cycles - more ink was going in cleaning cycles than in printing. Now I have a clog I can't fix. When I took the cartridges out in order to inject distilled water into the pins that poke into the cartridge, I noted that there was a lot of ink lying around in the bottom of the cartridge holder. Is this normal, or does it show that the cartriges are leaking and is it time for new cartridges? I've worked through the list of things to do to fix an ink clog from the MIS site and am now up to injecting water into the print head and letting it sit for a couple of hours. What seems strange, however, is that the two carts that have been in the machine for a few days after being refilled, and currently haven't used for any printing, are very much lighter than the carts I just refilled. in fact, they feel pretty empty. Could my problem be not an ink clog, but ink leaking out of the carts? I need to get back to preparing exhibition prints!!! :-\ thanks in advance, Richard -- http://smallfield.vze.com http://photos.smallfield.vze.com "What if no one ever asked a hypothetical question?" -- in the .sig for hjiwa@...
