As I have written earlier, I am delighted with the results of using UT2/Eboni inks in my 1280 while using both EEM and Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl. I am less enthused about the results with Galerie Smooth Gloss.... partifcularly the Eboni flat black. In my first tries sharpness, dMax, dynamic range, and gradation are excellent with excellent gloss, but in areas that are all/mostly black the Eboni is VERY flat and just ruins the overall look of the print. Maybe I missed it somewhere, but should this paper be sprayed to enhance the gloss of the Eboni? Or is there another answer? While it will not keep me from using this inkset, if there is another solution I would like to find out about it. FWIW, on a whim, I purchased a 13x33 roll of their InkJetArt Micro Ceramic Luster... their version of Smooth Pearl. It was cheap and gives me alot of flexibility in print sizes so i thought I would give it a try. Will give my impressions when I have some. Anyone else used it with UT2 and have any advice?
