Hybrid printing of digital BW

Going through B&W magazine I ran across an ad for San Miguel Photo Lab. 
Apparently they offer bw printing on Ilford fiber paper from digital files using the 
DeVere digital enlarger. I am wondering if anyone has given that approach a try - and 
what the results have been.
