You can copy small sections of the print to be spotted and print them on a small piece of glossy paper and use a brush to pick the exact shade without having to mix different shades to get what you need. sean If you use carts just make a print of a step-wedge on glossy paper or acetate. The ink will bead up. Use the various tones of ink with spotting brushes. The swatch can be used repeatedly by wetting the brush.
