Digital BW, The Print

I was planning to buy another Epson 1290s to dedicate to B&W printing, possibly with the 
UT2  inkset when available through Permajet in the UK. Thats changed now as I've been 
given a perfectly good 1160 after a freind upgraded. I now need to decide what's the best 
inkset for the 1160.

I have considered both the Lyson Small Gamut inks or Permajets VT Blax. 

I've seen good prints from the Lyson inks on darkroom pearl paper at the recent Focus 
exhibition, but that paper no longer appears current. Also reading the SG Ink pdf info, 
Lyson recomend OS 9.2 for my Mac, but I use OSX 10.3.3 Panther. Their info seems very 
old, and relates to Photoshop 5.5 and 6, while I use CS. My impression is the SG ink is an 
old product product perhaps now superceded by better inks, am I correct?

The Permajet VT Blax is I gather the same as the MIS VM Quadtone, this is my prefered 
option. Is there anything I should be aware of when using this with an 1160, OSX 10.3 and 
Photoshop CS?  I only intend to print on matt papers with a neutral print, no toning. Other 
than the VT Blax, is there any other ink easily available in the UK I can consider for my 
setup? Any advice and opinions appreciated.
