Hi Paul, Assigning the profile is not what you mean, I don't think. You mean converting the profile to that image. Using a soft proof profile just allows you to see (more or less) what the image will look like when converted. Youcan toggle it on or off with Ctl Y. Assigning just tells Photoshop how to display the image. For instance when you open a file which is untagged RGB, and you know it came from a digital camera, (say, consumer end, which usually uses sRGB). You 'assign' this profile which then shows it the way it is. Converting actually changes the image into another profile space. Regards, Ellie > Thanks Paul, > > One more question please.
