Well, as all the replies make clear, there's almost *too* much to 
choose from. but rather than point you to scads of links, I'll give 
you a couple of highly-subjective picks of what I've found 
interesting.

First, the Museum of the City of New York, currently showing 
"Magnum's New Yorkers":

Next up is Leica Gallery, currently showing Eugene Richards' 
"Fat Baby and Other Tales"

These are the two that come to mind at the moment, but as I'm 
caught in a whirlwind of "stuff" at the moment, I can't think of 
others. Would be neat if we crossed paths during your stay, but if
