Hello Steve, >I am getting up and running with the BO printing technique as >described by Clayton Jones. Anyway, I am printing on Epson EEM >paper. The paper is great and I am happy with the prints. >Should I make my final wall hanging prints on PhotoRag paper? For permanance reasons the final prints should be on some kind of 100% cotton paper. The papers I use with BO and Eboni ink, in order of warm to cool, are Epson Velvet fine Art - very warm H. Photo Rag - moderate warm Hawk Mtn Merlin Smooth - slightly warm Hawk Mtn Condor BW - neutral, looks really black These are all very beautiful papers. I recommend getting a pkg of each and try them (Hawk Mtn also has some non-OBA papers coming out soon which I am eager to try. After I test them I'll be adding to my web site an article about papers for BO printing). >Will they look better, or is it just a matter of permanence. Prints on good cotton papers have a richness and depth beyond what you will see on EEM. Others might use different words to describe the difference, but it's there. In addition, with the selection of papers listed above we have a choice of four tones, from neutral to warm. >If I did buy some photorag paper, do they come with profiles >for the epson 2200 printer? For BO printing they aren't needed. Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
