Digital BW, The Print

I'm thinking of getting a used Epson 1270 on Ebay to dedicate to black and 
white printing.  The 1270 seems like a good bargin right now.  How does it 
compare to the 1280 for use with the LU2 inkset (or should I be using 
LU1)?  I expect to be using matt surface paper only -- probably Hanemule 
photo rag 308 -- so performance on glossy papers doesn't concern me at all.

Any other comments about the choice between these two printers?
