I have noticed that when I print BO (MIS Eboni in a 1280 on Epson Matte Heavyweight), the prints come out a little lighter than with the UT inks, and some hightlight detail washes out. Does anyone have an adjustment curve that can correct this? I know most people use Photoshop and a "dot gain" setting. I use Picture Window Pro, which supports Photoshop curves, but doesn't do dot gain. I've done a quick-and-dirty fix by multiplying the gamma by 1.08, which helps, but isn't quite enough or quite right in all tones. On the PWP support forum, Jonathan said that I'd need to do an adjustment curve, which I could generate myself if I had a densiometer. I don't. :-) Thanks for any help --Peter P.S. My 1280 clogs seem to have mostly corrected themselves, except for a couple of nozzles in the "yellow" position that have plagued me for months, but don't seem to make much visible difference with UT ink. So I'm just going to use the printer and give it a couple of more MIS cleaning fluid treatments in the dump sponge, and hope for the best.
