This means it is technically feasible to control the gloss independantly. I don't know if the Epson driver will allow you to do this (I doubt it). I suspect you'll see it first in third party drivers and RIPs. It should be fairly straightforward for gimp-print and (consequently) Roy Harrington's QuadToneRIP to support it. I don't know how you'd control it though. Maybe send two files through the driver/RIP? the normal RGB or Grayscale file and a second "Gloss Mask" file? --Tom
