There is info here on quad profiles if you search the archives, look for Dan Culbertson's posts. Since profiles are generally intended for correcting color, the resulting profile will not be one you can print through and get adequate quad results. It's usefulness is primarily to preview through while working on or applying separation curves. Also, since the software expects to see and measure color, it may choke on trying to deal with a chart full of grays. Pofiler RGB will actually produce a profile, but the jury is still out on how good it is. I don't know if anyone here has tried WiziWIG. Profiler Pro seems to be successful for RGB profiles, but much more money particularly when you add the photospectrometer. One profile point I don't think has been mentioned- You can print through a quad profile, and it may be very linear, but won't be separated properly to minimize dots since that has nothing to do with correcting color.
