Digital BW, The Print

Lin,

Take a close look at the brass tines that are inside
the ink head that make contact with the chip on the
cartridge.  Make sure that all are there.  This same
thing happened to a 1280 that I had.  When I was
removing a cartridge, one of the tines popped off and
the printer did exactly what you are describing.  I
hope that this is not the case, as it pretty much
ruins the printer.
