Digital BW, The Print

Am I right in assuming that the Yellow position in the MIS VM inks is 
primarily for producing warming ?

To put it another way, if I want to produce neutral to cool prints 
would I be  better off simply turning off the Yellow in QTR or does the 
Yellow position contribute to a better/smoother print overall if left 
on ?
