RE: [Digital BW] Durabrite A3

2004-06-08 by Paul Roark

Ernst,

The best un-coated paper print I've made is with the 2200 with the UT7
inkset. I have a note on the settings I found worked best for Arches Hot
Press at http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/UT-2200-Readme.htm.

I did not compare this to the C84 with Durabrite, but with the MIS EZ inks
in the C84, the 2200 with UT7 is considerably better on at least Arches HP.

Subject: [Digital BW] Durabrite A3

Not a B&W question but:

Is there an A3 size printer that can work with a Durabrite cart
like used on the A4 desktop models ?

Like the HP dye printers the Durabrite models can make an
acceptable print on non-inkjet papers but the last will deliver a
more water and fade proof result. But it has to be A3 size at least.

Any other solution possible ? It will be used for replicas of
books and manuscripts where the paper has to resemble the
original paper as much as possible so most of the time it will be
a non-inkjet paper that is used.

Ernst
