Digital BW, The Print

I'm a new member here so I don't know if this question has been asked 
or answered. I'm about to buy a polarizing filter for my new OLY5060 
with the hope of getting more dramatic B&W (and color) pictures. Has 
anybody had any experience with using this kind of filter keeping in 
mind that this is NOT an SLR camera and that the only way to preview 
the results of using the filter is to look at the LCD viewfinder 
which is not always a reliable indicator of the results you are 
hoping to receive.Thanks in advance for any info you can give
