Hi I recently switched my 1290 over to UT2 inks (from UT1) and I'm getting great results from my scanned 5x4s. Unfortunately when I print on A3+ size paper I keep getting a problem (though A3 is fine). The papers I am using are Ilford smooth pearl A3 and Permajet glossy A3+. With A3+, the paper seems to get caught in the printer heads at the very end of the printing cycle and this results in a bent corner on the paper covered with black ink. The actual print is unaffected and I can trim the bent corner off, but it is a pain. My main worry is that every time this happens the red light comes on and the status monitor says there is a blockage, but there is nothing there. I switch the printer off and on again and after a couple of times the red light goes out and everything is OK again. Though I had to raise the print heads slightly using the thick paper lever on the side of the printer last time. One thing that I have noticed is that there is sticky semi-dry ink on the inside of the printer especially at the far left end where the a3+ paper extends. What should I use to clean this off? It may be that this sticky ink is dragging the print at the end of the cycle (I've removed my pizza wheels BTW) or the sticky ink is coming into contact with the print heads . Anyone have any ideas? Note that I am not printing on the last inch of paper because I have no pizza wheels. I am told this is correct. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Mark.
