I think the carts seal themselves OK most of the time. I just use tape and set them on several thicknesses of paper towels to deal with any leaks. I dislike the little rivets MIS sells to seal the carts. I think they push more air into the system. When I visited MIS at the beginning of June, they showed off what appeared to be actual poppet carts -- like Epson's. I don't know when if ever they'll have them in production, but that technology is one of the real advantages Epson has had. They self-seal and re-start better. Any clever tricks for sealing up carts when they are out of the printer? I expect that for each changeover, the carts may be sitting around for a couple weeks. I have generally wrapped them tightly in plastic wrap, which is kind of annoying. I don't have any good measure on how much ink I am losing to evaporation (and, thus, how much more intense the remaining ink is getting).
