Martin(got it right this time) The David Fokos Light Jet prints I saw were I guess a semi matt not glossy, just standard non glossy RC color print surface. It was the Tone that made them so spectacular and rich looking. Pretty damm amazing for prints on color paper. Yes this is the same David Fokos from the Bostik and Sullivan site. My original work flow was printing silver from 4x5 LVT negs on t-max film. Some images I've had negs made 3 or 4 times. There is only one black and white digital neg provider in My area and they have not been sharp lately. So i need another sourse that is no more than 100.00 per 8x10. Now I try to stay with Straight Piezography inks and driver on an Epson 3000 and I'am testing A MIS hextone workflow on the Epson 7000. Looks pretty good but not as nice as Piezo yet! I do love the Piezo inks and driver I just have to work a lot of things out with the 7000 MIS combo. Steve M. You also have some wonderful quad tone prints on your site. Can you give us a run down on the inks, printers, workflow you use? Were the David Fokos prints on the glossy, semi-gloss or matte Fuji Crystal or is that an option. I saw some super glossy B&W from a LightJet a few years ago and up close had a super RC shine to it. Is this the same David Fokos that does the platinum prints from digital negs? http://www.bostick-sullivan.com/Gallery/Fokos/fokos.htm Thanks, Martin Wesley >>
