Re: Museo (and Torchon)

2001-08-08 by mwesley250@earthlink.net

Julian,

I tried some Museo and Torchon for the first time last week and my
impressions of the Museo are very similar to yours. I think that it
has one of the nicest surfaces around. (Best paper to varnish that I
have found so far, if you ever have the urge.) My only complaints are
the weaker blacks and I would like a brighter white base. But a good
choice for smaller prints meant to be handheld.

I really like the blacks, white base and overall tone of the Torchon.
At the moment I prefer it to the Turner 190 and German Etching. If
this paper were available in a smooth texture like Museo it would be
a strong contender to replace Epson Archival Matte for me. I should
get the Schoellershammer Velvet 225 in a day or two and see how that
prints.
