Digital BW, The Print

Recently I was given a couple of "small gamut" profiles made by a 
friend of a friend.  The purpose is to print B&W images with RGB 
files on the 4000.  Fortuitously, there was a posting very recently 
concerning toning curves (see butzi.com/articles/toning.htm for more 
info).  The results were really good and I didn't detect 
metamerism.  The downloaded curves tended to the warm and had some 
beautiful split tones.  Its not hard to work up your own.
