Hi Todd, The sharpen filter I'm speaking of is in KAI's power tools Version 6, and is called the "Equalizer". Use the bounding sharpener, not the equalizer. I set it at about 400 percent. Drag the RGB slider until it looks best for your image. It will NOT be the same for all images. Some don't seem to benefit from this slider, while others do with only a little bit. This will give you a very sharp image, with no halo next to the hard edges. If you get a halo, you have to back off a bit fromt the 400 percent. Then, if you run a high pass/soft light filter on a duplicate layer, it will add just a tad more sharpness. You can fade the opacity of this layer as you like. I usually fade this to about 50 percent. Jerry Just out of curiosity have you heard anything about the price of the new EOS 1 D? I can find the specs, but no prices yet. Someone on one of these lists said over $6 grand. > Could one of you explain this sharpener? Is it based upon sharpening edges > to a greater degree than "flat" areas?
